1) What this is
Silent Medicine Community is a month-to-month, educational space for small, nervous-system–wise practices. You get one tiny practice each month, a live downshift + Q&A (with replay), short micro-guides, and a gentle check-in loop.
Not medical or psychological care. Content is educational only and does not replace professional care.
2) Membership & billing
- Chargebacks: Please contact us first so we can resolve issues in good faith.
- Platform: Hosted on Circle; billing via Stripe.
- Plan: Monthly subscription that renews until you cancel.
- Price at join: Shown at checkout (founding/promotional rates may be time-limited).
- Currency & taxes: Prices are in USD unless noted; taxes/fees may apply based on your location.
- Start/stop: Access begins at checkout and continues until you cancel. Manage in your account or email us.
- Refunds: No partial refunds. New members: email us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund of that first month (one-time courtesy).
3) Rates & eligibility (plain definitions)
One community space; different price paths. Rates don’t stack.
Standard rate — The regular monthly price when no special rate applies (currently $39.99/mo).
Founding Member rate — A reduced monthly price offered during a limited window (e.g., first 100 seats or until Nov 30, 2025). It’s grandfathered while your account stays active; there’s a 14-day grace for billing issues. If it lapses beyond the grace period, the plan reverts to the Standard rate if you return later.
Scholarship rate — $19.99/mo by attestation (student / financial hardship / geography parity). Renew annually via a light re-verify.
Underlying (base) rate — what your plan returns to after any temporary discounts or complimentary (free-access) periods end, or if scholarship status changes:
- $29.99/mo if you hold an active Founding Member rate; otherwise
- $39.99/mo (Standard).
Examples:
- Founding + Scholarship → if scholarship ends, billing returns to $29.99/mo.
- Standard + Scholarship → if scholarship ends, billing returns to $39.99/mo.
- If your account lapses beyond the 14-day grace, Founding grandfathering ends.
4) Cancellations & refunds
Cancel anytime; access continues through your current paid period. If a payment fails, we’ll email you and may pause access until resolved. Trials/discounts, if offered, follow the dates/prices shown at checkout.
5) Access, replays & downloads
- Live sessions are scheduled in Los Angeles (Pacific Time, PT) and may shift with notice.
- Replays are typically posted within 24–48 hours.
- One account per person. Please don’t share logins, replays, or downloads outside the Community. No screen-recording.
- Micro-guides may be downloadable for personal use only.
6) Community conduct
Warm, respectful, and low-pressure. No spam, harassment, medical claims, or harmful advice. We may moderate or remove posts that don’t fit these norms and may end access for serious or repeated issues.
7) Not medical or psychological care
Nothing here is diagnostic, treatment, therapy, or a substitute for personal care. If you have symptoms or concerns, seek qualified care. For emergencies, call local emergency services.
8) Privacy & data
We collect the basics you submit (e.g., name, email, check-ins/surveys) to run the Community. We may use de-identified stats to improve the program. See our Privacy Policy for data handling, email preferences, and cookies/consent.
9) Emails & notifications
By joining, you agree to Community-related emails (orientation, reminders, replays, updates). You can manage preferences or unsubscribe from non-essential emails anytime.
10) Payments & taxes
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Prices may exclude applicable taxes/fees where required by law.
11) Changes & pauses
We may adjust schedules, content, or features to keep the Community healthy and useful. Material changes to price or these Terms will be communicated in advance.
12) Age
Membership is for adults 18+.
13) Intellectual property
All content is owned by Silent Medicine (or licensed). Using the Community does not grant ownership rights. Personal, non-commercial use only; don’t repost, resell, or redistribute.
14) Testimonials & research
If you share feedback, we may store it. We’ll request separate consent before using any named testimonial publicly (see our Testimonial Release). You can revoke permission for future uses at any time.
15) Ending access
You may cancel anytime (Section 4). We may suspend or end access if terms are breached or fees remain unpaid. If we discontinue the Community entirely, we’ll refund any prepaid unused period.
16) Governing law
These Community Terms follow our Site Terms (governing law and venue: California, USA).
17) Agreement
By joining, you agree to these Community Terms, the Site Terms, and the Privacy Policy.
