How I Choose and What I Disclose

From time to time, I recommend resources aligned with Silent Medicine. Some links may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. I only recommend what I personally use or trust, evaluated for:

  • Safety & suitability (incl. common contraindications)
  • Alignment with the inner-healer philosophy
  • Evidence base or well-founded traditional wisdom
  • Quality & manufacturing transparency
  • Accessibility & value (fair pricing, availability)

I don’t do pay-to-play; placement can’t be bought, and opinions are my own. Affiliate relationships do not influence selection. For details, see our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy. Educational only, not medical advice.

Somavedic (Vedic Gen 2 + Tiny)

What it is
Somavedic is a frequency-based device designed to gently influence the field of a room. Inside the glass body is a blend of gemstones, metals, and electronics that are meant to create a more coherent, settled environment. It’s not a gadget you “use” for a few minutes and then put away. It’s more like a quiet companion that stays on in the background.

Why I chose it
I live in a very “wired” environment — Wi-Fi, towers, devices,.. and my nervous system notices all of it. I’m not interested in fear-based EMF narratives, but I am interested in anything that might lower the overall stress load on my system. Somavedic’s emphasis on subtle, long-term support, plus their transparency about materials and testing, felt more aligned with how I think about healing. I also liked that it touches both the space I’m in and the water I drink.

How I use it
I keep the Vedic Gen 2 on an open shelf around waist height in a central part of my home and simply let it run. The Tiny lives near my workspace or travels with me when I’m away from home. For water, I place my glass or bottle within a short distance of the device for a little while before drinking. I don’t look for dramatic overnight changes… I pay attention to how my body feels over weeks and months, and I let that guide whether it stays in my world.

Relax Sauna

What it is
Relax Sauna is a compact sit-in far infrared (FIR) sauna, essentially a small tent with a very specific type of infrared emitters. Instead of heating the air to extreme temperatures, it uses far infrared light to warm the body more directly, which many people find gentler and more accessible at home.

Why I chose it
I wanted a way to sweat and unwind that I could use consistently in a small space, without installing a full sauna room. I was drawn to Relax partly because of how long they’ve been around, and partly because I kept hearing similar experiences: quick warm-up, deep sweat, and a noticeable shift in how people felt afterward. For me, it sits in that category of “supportive ritual,” something that helps my body process a little more of what life and environment hand it, without promising to fix everything.

How I use it
I tend to use the Relax Sauna in short, intentional sessions… usually 15–30 minutes, not hours. I hydrate and support my minerals, step in, and let my body soften into the heat. When I’m done, I take a few minutes to cool down, breathe, and notice how I feel before jumping back into the day. If you’re considering any sauna and have medical conditions, implants, or are on multiple medications, it’s important to talk with a healthcare provider who knows your history. I use this as one supportive tool in a larger mind-body healing process, not as a stand-alone solution.

What I personally reach for:
These are products I’ve used at different points in my own journey. I treat them as tools, not magic fixes… and always alongside food, nervous system care, and rest.

Evolv Hydrogen Water Bottle

What it is
Evolv is a portable bottle that uses an internal electrolysis system to dissolve molecular hydrogen into a small amount of water. I think of it as a way to slightly “dress” the water I’m already drinking, rather than a big appliance or whole-house system.

Why I chose it
Because I’m already carrying so much in my environment, I wanted something small, simple, and portable that I could use at home or when I’m away. I liked that Evolv focuses on lab testing and water quality, and that it doesn’t require me to install anything permanent in my kitchen. It fits into how I already think about healing: gentle inputs, layered over time, instead of chasing dramatic quick fixes.

How I use it
I use Evolv in short, intentional doses — usually a small glass at a time, often around sauna or mat sessions, or on days when I’m asking a bit more of my body. I still prioritize clean water, minerals, real food, and nervous system care as the foundation. The bottle is an extra layer of support, not the star of the show, and I keep listening to how my body responds rather than assuming it will feel the same every day.

If you decide to explore it, my link currently includes $25 off your purchase (if the offer is still active), so you can try it and see how your own system responds.

Healthy Wave Mat (Pro 5 Therapy)

What it is
Healthy Wave makes multi-therapy mats that combine far infrared heat, PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic fields), crystals, negative ions, and red light. The Pro 5 Therapy mat I chose is a full-length mat (74″ × 28″) designed so you can lie down and receive several gentle inputs at once, rather than needing separate devices.

Why I chose it
I live in a very “wired” environment and my nervous system is sensitive. I was looking for something I could lie on at home that supports my whole system without feeling aggressive or overpowering. I already use an infrared Biomat and a Relax Sauna; Healthy Wave felt like a way to layer in PEMF and a different style of far infrared in one place. I also appreciate their professional program and the option to test the mat with a clear return policy, rather than feeling locked in.

How I use it
I treat this as a nervous-system cocoon, not a punishment device. I start with short, low-intensity sessions and gradually adjust time and settings based on how my body responds that day. I pair it with good hydration, minerals, and simple grounding practices and I watch how I feel over weeks—not just one session.

If you decide to explore it
Healthy Wave has given my community a 10% discount on mats, even when they’re already on sale. You can either:

  • Use my link below, or
  • Order on their site or by phone and give them my code: SilentMedicine10

The 10% comes out of my commission, and I’m comfortable with that… I would rather you save a bit and listen to your own body.

IonCleanse® by AMD – Ionic Foot Bath System

A home-use ionic foot bath that uses a low-level current and an array in warm water to generate ions in the tub. I use it as an occasional ritual for relaxation and gentle detox-support time, not as a treatment or cure.

Why it’s here

  • I was drawn to it as one of my “deep-clean” tools for environmental load and modern living.
  • Sessions are structured (about 30 minutes), which makes it easier to build into a weekly or seasonal rhythm.
  • AMD emphasizes safety testing, support, and they offer a 60-day, 100% money-back guarantee, so you can see how it feels in your own body.

How to explore

Some links on this page are affiliate links, which means I may receive a referral credit if you purchase through them or list my name as your referrer—at no extra cost to you. IonCleanse® by AMD is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Educational only; not medical or psychological advice.

If you order by phone or directly on AMD’s site, they’ll ask “How did you hear about us?” or show a referral field. If you’d like your purchase to support my work, you can enter “Dr Nnenna Ndika” there.

Carnivore Crisps

What it is

Simple meat crisps… just protein and salt. Easy to carry, gentle on my system, and helpful when I need clean, no-fuss fuel.

Why I chose it

I wanted something I could actually eat on busy days without additives or second-guessing. The minimal ingredients and clear labels make it a steady option for travel, studio days, or when I’m rebuilding simple routines. It fits my “support, not hype” approach… useful, not complicated.

How I use it

Usually as a small, reliable snack: after sauna, between sessions, or when I’m out and need something my body can trust. I pair it with water or minerals and listen for when a little is enough.
