Listening to My Body: An Unexpected Discovery on My TIENS Journey

An Update on My TIENS Journey | September 30, 2026

As I lay on my sleeping floor one evening, I reflected on how different my body had felt after a change in my targeted nutrient and cellular supplementation. The difference surprised me, and I began asking myself why.

For some time, I had noticed unpleasant symptoms, including a sensation that I might vomit. I had also noticed reactions on occasions when I used powdered mushroom ingredients in smoothies or added them to meals. Although mushroom varieties differ, those observations prompted me to examine my regimen more closely.

One of the supplements I was taking was TIENS Cordyceps. As I reduced the number of products in my regimen to make my approach more targeted, I began to wonder whether Cordyceps might be contributing to the sensation I was experiencing, particularly when taken separately. This was a hypothesis, not a confirmed identification of the cause.

Rather than changing everything at once, I gave myself time to observe and then temporarily stopped Cordyceps while continuing to pay attention to my response to the other supplements.

So far, the symptoms I had been noticing have settled, and I feel encouraged by the change. I cannot yet know whether Cordyceps itself, the formulation, dosing, timing, another ingredient, or another factor explains the difference.

What interests me is that I had not noticed the same clear pattern when Cordyceps was part of a much broader supplement regimen. Once I simplified the regimen, the possibility became easier for me to explore.

I may revisit the question later, but I will not assume that reintroducing a suspected trigger is necessary. Persistent or recurrent nausea merits clinical review.

My takeaway is not that Cordyceps or mushrooms are unsuitable for everyone.

It is that what agrees with one person may not agree with another, and the body’s response deserves attention. Supplements, even when described as natural, can cause adverse effects or interact in different ways with the body.

The body speaks. Learn its language. For the restoration and sustenance of health, listening to the body is paramount.

Where Science Meets Spirit.
